Destacamos:
I’m sorry, my Spanish is too poor for writing, so I must write in English.
Carlos, I believe that I met you in Costa Rica in October or November of 1975. You were traveling with beautiful poems filled with passion about the Nicaraguan Revolution. You read your poems in Spanish and tried to translate them in English. You said that much of the meaning was not well represented in English and that Spanish was the best language to express yourself in poem.
You were teaching, at the time, at a Catholic school near Lemon.
I was traveling from the US alone with a tent. I rented a small flat and you made a beautiful bamboo table for me. We are both now with gray hair for many years have pasted.
