Sabina Messeg
También conocida como Adula, nació en Sofía, Bulgaria en 1942 y se trasladó a Israel con sus padres en 1948. Estudió Hebreo y literatura inglesa en la Universidad de Tel Aviv. Actualmente vive y trabaja en una pequeña población en Galilea. Messeg es una eco-poeta, traductora y crítica. Ha publicado tres libros de poesía y, como Adula, dieciocho libros para niños. Ha recibido numerosos premios por su trabajo.
Also known as Adula, was born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1942, and moved to Israel with her family in 1948. She grew up in Jaffa, then studied Hebrew and English literature at Tel Aviv University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She now lives and works in a small village in the Galilee. Messeg is an eco-poet, translator and critic. She has published three books of poetry and – as Adula – 18 books for children. Messeg has received the Newman Prize (1982), the Ze`ev Prize (1994), the Hadassah Prize, and the Leah Goldberg Prize.
